I’ve said this before: my PR highlight of the year is PRSA Counselors Academy conference, which features some of the smartest agency leaders you’ll ever meet.

In fact, it means so much to me that I’m chairing the 2012 event in New Orleans, May 6 to 8, 2012. We have an amazing and talented committee of volunteers putting it all together, including my co-chair, Dana Hughens and the folks at PRSA.

In keeping with our Big Easy locale, this year’s theme is ‘Jazz Up Your Agency: Stylings from the Best in the Biz’. Right now, we’re putting the content together and we’re looking for standout presentations on innovations and best practices in business, communications, social media and PR. The deadline has been extended to October 7.

I hope you’ll consider submitting a session or looking into joining us at #CANOLA in May.

For me, Counselors is about two things: the content and the people. It’s always provided an unbeatable combination of both.
