For me, it happens everytime I tune in and it reminds me of stop and go driving.

I start by watching the stream fly by and then all of a sudden brake fast to find I'm at a standstill (and not just because I've moved onto another task).

Let me explain.

One moment, I'm zipping along; scanning photos, reading and responding to tweets.  And then all of a sudden I come across a link that catches my eye, click on it, and the flow stops as I start reading/watching and decide if I'm going to share, bookmark or just move on.

Then when I head back, traffic is moving quickly again, but I know I can't slip into cruise control because a brake-inducing link could happen at any time.

I guess I just have to accept the social media pace is hurry up to slow down.  How would you describe it?
