On Thursday, September 20, I’ll be in Canada’s tech industry heartland to kick off the fall edition of the Waterloo Region Social Media Breakfast series.

My talk is called Social Media Barometer.  And I’ll be looking at some of the social business opportunities, pressure points and trends and offer a forecast to put things in context for marketers and communicators.

Here are some of the questions I’ll be addressing:

  • Is search – still the number one thing we do online – only giving us the results we want to see?
  • Is there a new workplace generation gap, and if so, what can we do to bridge it?
  • Who are the new media programmers and how do they affect the content we see?
  • Where does mobile fit in?

I’m hoping we’ll have a lively and interactive discussion.

If you’re interested, here are the registration details.

The event hashtag is #smbWR and you can also follow the LinkedIn Group.

Hope to see you there.
